simple pc kiosk/ local offline pc/arcade/music for house… ideas

Trying to make programs and media on a windows pc more easily accessible.  WIP

Have used Free Launch Bar like windows XPs quicklaunch.  May just just use audio player 1by1 for audio,

Found a bunch of frontends for windows such as Launchbox, steam,  can also be used as a frontend.  I forgot that a part of the playon media server can store local content for free

Would be nice to just have free voice activation for every room, people have been working on that for awhile, ha.

Chemistry Lab and Experimentation

I tried Virtual Chemistry Lab http://chemistry.dortikum.net/en/home/  and it reminded me of the lab software I used in college.  Haven’t thoroughly reviewed it or spent time with it though.  Here are labs you can do?:  http://www.infoplease.com/chemistry/simlab/electrolpt1.html

The Powder Toy – is a free physics sandbox game with lots to do, http://powdertoy.co.uk/

When you start it it has an ‘simulator options’ in the lower right that look like a black check mark in a white boxed circle.  You can press F1 for help

You can set it to fullscreen, add borders, etc.

Box2D Testbed Using this computer physics 2D Sandbox you can play with cantilevers, bridges, chains, pulleys and other objects.  To create your own objects/addons basic knowledge of a programming language is required.
